Sustainability

Cleaner Operations. Smarter Resource Use.

Auraxis was founded with an explicit mission: to manufacture machines that reduce negative impacts on the environment and human health. Sustainability is not an add-on — it is built into the design.

Enclosed process — no open-air spray
~2 L water per trolley
Max 20% water waste (Auraxis-018)
Temperature-controlled wash (0–90°C)

Not bolted on — built in.

Water Conservation

The enclosed chamber design contains water within the washing cycle rather than dispersing it freely. Water consumption is approximately 2 litres per trolley — significantly less than unrestricted manual washing. The Auraxis-018 model goes further with a built-in water recycling unit, limiting fresh water waste to a maximum of 20% of the wash volume.

Controlled Chemical Use

American-brand fog sprayers apply disinfectant in precise mist form, maximising surface coverage per unit of chemical used. Consumption is approximately 200ml per trolley. The enclosed environment prevents unnecessary chemical dispersion into the surrounding area.

Reduced Environmental Footprint

Automated, enclosed operation reduces waste compared to open manual cleaning methods. Less water runoff, less chemical spread, and consistent consumption make the Auraxis system more predictable and less wasteful than manual alternatives.

Energy Efficiency

The Auraxis-020 operates on 220V single phase at 1,500W — designed for standard facility power infrastructure. Cycle times are adjustable, allowing operators to optimise energy use per session based on actual throughput demand.

Built to Last

Durable stainless steel 304 construction means the system has a long operational lifespan. Longer-lasting equipment means fewer replacements, less manufacturing waste, and sustained value. The 2-year warranty on the Auraxis-020 reflects confidence in the build quality.

Consistent, Repeatable Standards

Automation ensures that every trolley receives the same level of treatment — removing the variability of manual processes. This consistency supports operational sustainability: predictable inputs, predictable outputs, lower risk of inconsistent results.

AFAK's Sustainability Vision

Auraxis was established in 2018 with the specific purpose of engineering products that address environmental and public health challenges. From trolley washing systems to reverse vending machines for waste collection, every product in the AFAK range is built around the principle that industrial operations can — and should — minimise their negative footprint on the world around them.
